THE WILD CAT

Baptista was a rich man, and he lived in a beautiful town in Italy. He had two daughters, the younger girl, Bianca, was and kind as well as beautiful.

Her sister was called Katharine. She was as beautiful as Bianca, but she was unkind. She became angry very quickly, and men called her, ” Katharine, the wild cat ”

There were many men who wanted to marry Bianca, but no one wished to marry Katharine. Baptista was afraid that Katharine would never find a husband. He felt very sad about it because he love both his daughters. At last he made a plan to tell everyone that Katharine must marry marry before Bianca. She was the elder sister and she must marry first. It was the right thing to do.

Then the men who wanted to marry Bianca held a meeting, they decided what to do. They would search the town, and search all Italy, for a man who was brave enough to marry the WILD CAT.
